The Achievements of 23th Trade Ministerial Conference of APEC

From May.20 to May.21, the 23th trade ministerial conference of APEC was held in Hanoi. Represented by commerce minister Zhong Shan, Chinese government delegation attended the conference.
It was a first multilateral conference since the Belt and Road International Cooperation summit has held in China. This conference focused on strengthening regional economic integration, developing multilateral trading system, 2020 vsion of APEC, promoting sustainable, inclusive and innovative growth, improving innovation ability of small and medium enterprises and so on. This coference published The President Statement of trade ministerial conference, which reflected that most economies support multilateral trading system and oppose trade protectionism. This conference passed The Joint Action of 23th Trade Ministerial Conference, which established an economic and trade achievements framework for the Da Nang informal meeting of leaders in November this year.
It was worth noting that Chinese government delagation submitted The Non-paper of China's vision of trade and investment of APEC 2020 during the conference, which put this vision on the agenda. China put forward a series of new ideas which including establishing a new regional cooperation concept of sharing, achieving the high-quality Asia Pacific Free Trade Zone overally, achieveing the trade interconnection, building a more inclusive Asia-Pacific global value chain, developing new sources of economic growth and so on, to guide the economies to promote mutual understanding and narrow differences and to achieve a successful conference by getting positive responses from various economies.
